On February 25, 2016, the Chappaqua PTA sponsored a panel presentation to address discussing difficult topics with your child(ren) such as traumatic events or painful experiences that may impact them either directly or vicariously.

– Are you unsure whether to initiate these conversations with younger children who may not have been otherwise exposed to information about such events?

– How can you cope with your own feelings about these circumstances while supporting your child(ren)?

The presentation was followed by a question and answer segment that was intended to help parents and caregivers decide when and how to discuss traumatic, disturbing events and situations with your child(ren).
